InFiNe De-Risking Working Group 2026 | First Meeting

InFiNe De-Risking Working Group 2026 | First Meeting

On 19 May 2026, the Inclusive Finance Network Luxembourg held the first meeting of the InFiNe De-Risking Working Group 2026, bringing together members to discuss the next phase of collaborative work around de-risking strategies for inclusive and impact finance.

The session provided an opportunity to review the progress achieved so far and discuss the proposed Action Plan for the next phase of the initiative, building on the reflections and ecosystem mapping work carried out in 2025.

Building on the Foundations Established in 2025

The meeting focused on how Luxembourg’s inclusive and impact finance ecosystem can continue contributing to the development of practical de-risking approaches supporting investment in underserved and higher-risk markets.

Participants exchanged on key challenges and opportunities linked to investment mobilisation, while reflecting on how to progressively transition from collective analysis and mapping exercises toward more operational next steps.

Discussions also highlighted the importance of strengthening coordination across ecosystem actors and building on existing expertise, initiatives and experiences already present within Luxembourg’s inclusive finance landscape.

Defining Priorities for the Months Ahead

The proposed Action Plan foresees continued work around ecosystem mapping, financial risk analysis and the identification of practical de-risking approaches that could support inclusive finance actors operating in challenging environments.

The session also created space for peer exchange around technical assistance needs, existing market gaps and potential areas for collaboration between members and external stakeholders.

More broadly, the meeting reaffirmed the value of collective reflection and knowledge sharing in supporting the development of sustainable and impactful finance solutions.

Looking Ahead

The De-Risking Working Group will continue its activities throughout 2026 through dedicated exchanges and collaborative streams of work involving InFiNe members and ecosystem partners.

Through this initiative, InFiNe continues to foster collaboration across Luxembourg’s inclusive finance ecosystem and support practical discussions around investment mobilisation, risk mitigation and impact-oriented finance solutions.
