The Luxembourg Award for Inclusive Finance (LAIF) 2026 ceremony will take place on Thursday, 12 November, at the European Investment Bank (EIB) in Luxembourg, as part of Inclusive Finance 26.

Co-organised by InFiNe, e-MFP and the Luxembourg Government, the Award recognises organisations developing innovative approaches to make financial services more accessible and responsive to people’s needs.

This year’s edition focuses on “Unlocking Youth-Inclusive Finance”, highlighting organisations that support young people as they navigate key stages of life, develop their skills and access opportunities to build a prosperous future.

Following an international call for applications that attracted 95 submissions from 43 countries, three organisations have been selected as finalists:

  • Chancen International (Rwanda), for its approach to financing education through Income Share Agreements, helping young people access employment-oriented education without upfront tuition fees.
  • Fundación Paraguaya (Paraguay), for its work combining microfinance, education and entrepreneurship to support underserved communities, with a particular focus on young people and women.
  • iFarmer Ltd. (Bangladesh), for its digital agricultural finance ecosystem, connecting smallholder farmers with finance, agricultural inputs, advisory services and markets.

The winner will receive €100,000, while the two runners-up will each receive €10,000.

A special milestone: 20 years of the Award ceremony

The 2026 ceremony also marks 20 years since the first Award ceremony in 2006. Over two decades, the Award has highlighted organisations developing approaches to financial inclusion in different contexts around the world.

This anniversary will be an opportunity to look back at the Award’s journey, hear from previous winners and reflect on the initiatives and people who have contributed to its development.

The ceremony will bring together representatives of the finalists, members of the international inclusive finance community and institutional partners to celebrate this year’s achievements and the Award’s shared history.
