The Inclusive Finance Network Luxembourg (InFiNe) is Luxembourg’s national network dedicated to promoting financial inclusion and impact finance worldwide.

Founded in 2014 and supported by the Directorate for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs of the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Defence, Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, InFiNe brings together 43 member organisations from the public, private and civil society sectors to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing and innovation in inclusive finance.

One of InFiNe’s flagship initiatives is the Luxembourg Award for Inclusive Finance (LAIF), formerly known as the European Microfinance Award, an internationally recognised award celebrating excellence and innovation in financial inclusion.

Joining InFiNe means becoming part of a small, dynamic and international team working at the crossroads of finance, international development and cooperation.

The Position

InFiNe is looking for a motivated Events & Communication Intern to support the organisation’s flagship activities, with a particular focus on the Luxembourg Award for Inclusive Finance (LAIF).

Working within a team of three, the intern will contribute to the coordination of one of Luxembourg’s leading international initiatives in inclusive finance, while also supporting InFiNe’s events, stakeholder engagement and communication activities.

This 6-month internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in international project management, event coordination, communications and stakeholder relations within Luxembourg’s inclusive finance ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Luxembourg Award for Inclusive Finance (LAIF)

  • Support the organisation of the 2026 Luxembourg Award for Inclusive Finance.
  • Coordinate logistical aspects related to the Award process.
  • Assist in liaising with applicants, partners and international stakeholders.
  • Contribute to drafting briefing notes, presentations and meeting materials.
  • Support communications related to the Award in collaboration with the Communications Officer.

Events & Project Coordination

  • Assist in organising InFiNe’s monthly Knowledge Sharing Events, networking events and workshops.
  • Coordinate registrations, agendas, logistical arrangements and participant follow-up.
  • Support project planning, timelines and administrative coordination.
  • Prepare meeting documentation and maintain project records.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communications

  • Liaise with InFiNe members and international partners.
  • Draft professional emails and meeting summaries.
  • Support communication activities linked to projects and events.
  • Assist with website updates, newsletters and event promotion where needed.

Operations & Team Support

  • Support the daily activities of the InFiNe Secretariat.
  • Maintain databases and organisational documentation.
  • Contribute to the smooth running of office operations and team activities.

Your Profile

  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree in International Relations, European Affairs, Development Studies, Political Science, Business, Management, Finance or a related field.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in an international and multicultural environment.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; French is a strong asset.
  • Proactive, autonomous and eager to learn.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Assets

  • Interest in international development, inclusive and impact finance or sustainable finance.
  • Previous experience in event organisation, project management or communications.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Canva and WordPress.
