Inclusive finance is made up of different products and services that meet the needs of the poorest people in the least developed countries. One of the most essentail product for these populations, is microinsurance. Microfinance institutions are implementing different insurance products to protect their clients.
The panelists will be: Fernando Guzman, Chairman of Serinsa in Nicaragua, and Jonathan Batagan, General Manager, Cebuana Lhuillier in the Philippines. They will discuss the evolution and the impact of microinsurance products in these very distinct regions. The participants will also learn about special innovations to expand these products the fastest to a larger population.
Matthew Genazzini, Head of Technical Support of MFIs of ADA Luxembourg, and long term specialist in microinsurance will moderate the discussion.
Pierre-Michaël de Waersegger, Partner Banking & Financial Services – Insurance & Reinsurance Law, and Anne Contreras, Of Counsel Investment Managment from Arendt & Medernach will introduce the session .
Katherine McKee, Board Member, Microinsurance Network will conclude the session.
