The Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs will host the second edition of the Humanitarian Innovation Accelerator Pitch Event on October 22, 2025, at LuxExpo The Box. The initiative represents a partnership between the Luxembourg Government and the WFP Innovation Accelerator, building on the success of the inaugural 2023 edition.
Against the backdrop of tightening humanitarian budgets globally, the program aims to promote innovative solutions that can deliver greater efficiency and impact in humanitarian action. Up to four selected projects will participate in an acceleration program featuring potential grants of up to $150,000 without equity participation. Several featured solutions directly address financial inclusion challenges, including digital payment systems for unbanked populations and credit scoring tools for underserved communities, aligning with Luxembourg’s broader commitment to advancing inclusive finance through innovation.
Here are the eight technology-driven solutions that will present their approaches to addressing urgent humanitarian challenges during this edition:
The pitch event will be held alongside the Luxembourg Venture Days, positioning Luxembourg as a hub for humanitarian innovation. The event program includes live pitches, a venture marketplace, presentations on AI for humanitarian action, and networking opportunities with humanitarian and innovation ecosystem players globally.
