University of Luxembourg Opens Applications for Certificate in Law and Regulation of Inclusive Finance

The University of Luxembourg has opened applications for its Certificate in Law and Regulation of Inclusive Finance, a comprehensive two-week on-site program taking place from January 19-29, 2026, in Luxembourg. The program is designed for professionals worldwide seeking to enhance their expertise in financial inclusion law and regulation.

The certificate program combines traditional financial law with inclusive finance and development policy subjects, offering 10 ECTS credits over an intensive two-week period. Participants can expect to explore key topics including risk management, microfinance, sustainable finance, banking law, and fintech.

Program highlights:

  • Interactive courses taught by European and international academics
  • Practical workshops and case studies with industry practitioners
  • Networking opportunities with financial inclusion professionals globally
  • Limited to 30 participants from diverse backgrounds worldwide
  • Program fee: €1,000 per person

The initiative is led by Professor Dirk Andreas Zetzsche, holder of the ADA Chair in Financial Law and Inclusive Finance. The program features 6-8 teaching units daily, combining traditional lectures with hands-on workshops and case studies delivered by experts from Luxembourg and internationally, including several InFiNe members: ADA, the European Investment Bank Institute, Luxembourg’s Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, and the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI), demonstrating Luxembourg’s collaborative approach to advancing inclusive finance education.
