SPTF Social Investor Working Group Meeting in Luxembourg

The annual meeting of the Social Performance  Task Force Social Investor Working Group took place on June 18th and 19th and was hosted at the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.

What is the SPTF Social Investor Working Group?

The group works to advance responsible investment in financial inclusion. It is open to all investors seeking financial and social returns. Currently, there are more than 300 investor members representing over 100 organisations in the working group.

What was the focus of the 2 days meeting?

The 2 days meeting touched various topics related to social and environmental assessment tools for impact investments in the field of inclusive finance. A specific session was dedicated to the Universal Standards and SPI 4-Alinus; another on the assessment of impact of digital financial services and FinTech.

A specific InFiNe.lu members – SPTF Social Investor Working Group session was dedicated to green inclusive finance. Among the panellists were InFiNe.lu members Corinne Molitor, Innpact and Sachin Vankalas, LuxFLAG. Adysti Raissa Fitri from Triodos joined as well the panel. The discussions were moderated by Catalina von Hildebrand, Netherlands Platform of Microfinance. The panellists discussed the management of green inclusive finance portfolios, green finance social performance evaluation tools and indicators, as well as challenges encountered.
