On 23 September 2025, InFiNe hosted a Knowledge Sharing Event dedicated to the development of a coherent Social Investment Framework, with contributions from Accelerating Impact and LuxFLAG. The session provided participants with a comprehensive overview of current market trends, the challenges of defining and measuring social impact, and the importance of establishing clear safeguards to ensure credible and effective social investment practices.
The event opened with introductory remarks highlighting the strategic need for alignment and standardized approaches in social finance. Speakers Laurence Hulin, ISFA Senior Programme Director and Head of Operations, and Alexandre Gaudin, Sustainability Operations Officer at LuxFLAG. Both teams jointly facilitated World Café discussions exploring key questions around social impact definitions, the intersections between climate and social objectives, and practical factors that influence impact delivery on the ground. These interactive sessions encouraged participants to share insights, highlight operational challenges, and identify opportunities for harmonizing practices across the ecosystem.
In the concluding segment, Laurence Hulin and Alexandre Gaudin outlined the next steps for refining and testing the Framework, emphasizing the integration of practitioner feedback, piloting approaches in the field, and fostering stronger collaboration among InFiNe members and ecosystem partners. This iterative process aims to ensure that the Framework remains practical, scalable, and relevant to the needs of social investors and field operators alike.
The Knowledge Sharing Event underscored the value of collective learning and stakeholder engagement in shaping robust and reliable impact finance tools. By bringing together diverse actors from Luxembourg’s inclusive and social finance ecosystem, InFiNe continues to facilitate shared understanding, drive alignment, and support the development of frameworks that guide responsible and effective social investment strategies.
