The European Microfinance Award is a prestigious annual award with 100.000€ for the winner and 10.000€ for the 2 runners-up. It serves 2 parallel goals: rewarding excellence and collecting and disseminating the most relevant practices for replication by others.

The European Microfinance Award usually launches its call for applications in March and follows a rigourous selection process in 3 steps:

  1. Preslection phase with a committee composed of the e-MFP and InFiNe.lu Secretariats and the Award consultants
  2. Selection phase with a selection committee composed of e-MFP and InFine.lu members
  3. High Jury composed of experts in financial inclusion, experts in the thematic of the Award and high level personalities

The 2023 Award winner will be known at the Award ceremony organised in Luxembourg on Thursday November 16, 2023.

This year’s Award will focus on “Food Security and Nutrition”.
