Luxembourg Gender Finance Task Force Led by the Ministry of Finance Launches New Podcast Series

The Luxembourg Gender Finance Task Force has launched “The Gender Finance Podcast,” a new series exploring how finance can become a powerful driver of gender equity. Each episode examines structural barriers in global financial systems and highlights innovative solutions reshaping access to capital, leadership, and wealth creation.

The podcast features diverse voices from across the financial ecosystem, including investors, economists, founders, regulators, and thought leaders, offering insights at the intersection of finance and equality.
The inaugural episode features a compelling conversation between EIB President Nadia Calviño and Luxembourg’s Finance Minister Gilles Roth, discussing how finance can help close the gender gap. They explore the EIB’s gender-smart investment strategies, access to capital for female entrepreneurs, the importance of mentorship, and Luxembourg’s leading role in gender finance.

The Luxembourg Gender Finance Task Force, organized by the Ministry of Finance and supported by seven working groups, was established in 2023 to advance gender finance within Luxembourg’s financial sector. The initiative aligns with Luxembourg’s top EU ranking in gender equality in finance according to the European Institute for Gender Equality.

The Task Force includes several InFiNe members: the Ministry of Finance, Innpact, Luxembourg for Finance, the European Investment Bank, and Investing for Development, working together to develop sector-wide strategies that drive progress in both “finance for women” and “women in finance.”

The podcast aims to demonstrate how policy, practice, and purpose can combine to build a more inclusive financial future.
