Breaking Barriers: How Banfondesa became the first MFI in Dominican Republic to issue Sustainability Bond

InFiNe is pleased to announce a Knowledge Sharing Event on January 21, 2026, featuring member organization GGGI and BANFONDESA

This session will highlight GGGI’s role in supporting the first sustainable bond in the Dominican Republic, a RD$500 million issuance led by BANFONDESA to expand microfinance, green lending, and MSME financing. The event will share key lessons on how technical assistance and catalytic partnerships can help financial institutions align with international standards and deliver inclusive environmental and social impact.
