The Inclusive Finance Network Luxembourg (InFiNe) is pleased to announce the recipients of its 2025 Scholarship Programme, supporting three professionals from member organisations as they pursue specialised training to enhance their expertise in critical areas of inclusive finance.
This year’s scholarship recipients represent the evolving landscape of inclusive finance, with a particular focus on climate resilience and strategic implementation capabilities. Their chosen training programmes reflect the sector’s growing emphasis on biodiversity finance, climate risk management, and effective strategy execution.
📌Training Programme: “Getting Things Done: Strategy Execution Program”, by IESE Business School, Munich.
💡Why This Training?
The scholar, who serves as Knowledge and Strategic Partnerships Manager, leads their organisation’s engagement with global initiatives including the Global Shield against Climate Risks. With experience coordinating strategic partnerships across over 20 countries, they seek to strengthen practical delivery skills essential for translating complex multi-stakeholder strategies into concrete outcomes for vulnerable populations. The training will enhance their capacity to design sound strategies matched by effective implementation, particularly in the complex environments they navigate while contributing to strategic reviews for various organisations.
📌Training Programme: “Certified Expert in Biodiversity Finance”, by Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
💡Why This Training?
The employee aims to strengthen their technical expertise in biodiversity finance, a critical area following the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. With their background in impact finance and fund structuring, they seek to better serve emerging trends in biodiversity projects and assist clients in integrating biodiversity considerations into their financing strategies. This expertise will support their professional development in Nature Based Solutions while enabling them to share knowledge across the broader Luxembourg biodiversity finance community.
📌Training Programme: “Certified Expert in Sustainable Finance”, by Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
💡Why This Training?
The scholar seeks to deepen their understanding of sustainable finance from the decision-maker’s perspective, building on their Economics degree and Master’s in Poverty Reduction. Working for GGGI, they have witnessed how private and public finance can help countries reach sustainable development goals. The training will enable them to better grasp how to link GGGI’s work with Luxembourg’s green and sustainable finance ecosystem, understanding both the frameworks and regulations that guide sustainable finance decisions.
Each scholarship recipient has committed to sharing their learning with the broader InFiNe community through articles, presentations, and reports—ensuring that the investment in individual expertise translates into collective knowledge advancement across the network. This approach reflects InFiNe’s commitment to maximizing the impact of professional development initiatives.
As our members continue to express strong interest in capacity building across emerging areas like impact measurement, risk management, and green finance, these scholarships demonstrate InFiNe’s responsiveness to evolving sector needs. The diverse expertise gained through these training programmes will strengthen Luxembourg’s position as a centre of excellence in inclusive finance while building practical capabilities to address complex challenges in financial inclusion.
Future capacity building initiatives will continue to balance individual professional development with broader knowledge sharing to serve the collective advancement of our network’s expertise.
