House of Training Launches 21st Edition of Risk Management Training for Microfinance Leaders

House of Training (ATTF), in partnership with ADA, has opened applications for the 21st edition of its specialized training program “Embedding an Effective Risk Management Framework in Microfinance.” The program exclusively targets CEOs and senior executives of major microfinance institutions (MFIs) seeking to establish a comprehensive risk management culture within their organizations.

The training will be delivered online over 27 hours across 6 days and features updated content including information security, cyber-risks, data protection, and environmental, social, and governance risks. Participants will benefit from enhanced practical sessions with exercises and case studies, drawing on expertise from Luxembourg’s financial sector.

Key program highlights include:

  • Corporate governance as the foundation for strategy execution and risk management
  • Credit risk management with practical sessions
  • Operational risk management and incident handling
  • Key risk indicators methodology
  • Risk mapping and mitigation strategies
  • Introduction to the Risk Management Graduation Model (RMGM)

Selected participants will also have the opportunity to apply for a 1-3 year risk management coaching program and benefit from peer learning with other MFI representatives.

Two language options are available:

  • French sessions: October 7-10 + 13-14, 2025
  • English sessions: October 16-23, 2025

The training is primarily funded by Luxembourg’s Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, with a participation fee of €225 for the 22 selected participants per session.
