Finance in Motion Asset Management S.à r.l., part of the Finance in Motion Group, has expanded its activities in Luxembourg: The company has received a new license as an Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM) and, with a larger office, is benefiting from the favorable conditions for sustainable investing in the important financial center for alternative investments.
“We have been a leader in impact investing for over two decades,”
says Sylvia Wisniwski, CEO at Finance in Motion.
“With our stronger presence in Luxembourg, we want to further expand and shape the future of sustainable finance in a targeted manner.”
Finance in Motion Asset Management S.à r.l. is directly supervised by the Luxembourg supervisory authority Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF). As Europe’s leading financial center for alternative investments, the Grand Duchy offers ideal conditions for networking with other financial service providers that focus on sustainable investments. At the same time, new sustainable investment vehicles can be launched here and the customer base can be expanded through proximity to interested investors.
Luxembourg will invest a total of 320 million euros in international climate protection from 2026 to 2030. In doing so, the government is promoting the ecosystem for impact investments and wants to channel funds specifically into projects to protect human livelihoods, such as the expansion of renewable energies, reforestation or the climate-friendly restructuring of manufacturing companies.
“Against this backdrop, strengthening our presence in Luxembourg is a logical step towards further shaping the future of sustainable finance,”
says Sylvia Wisniwski.
Finance in Motion manages ten funds with a strong focus on environmental and social impact. These include the European Fund for Southeast Europe, which promotes financial participation and entrepreneurship, and the LAGreen Fund, the first green bond fund in Latin America. At Finance in Motion Asset Management S.à r.l., around 20 employees work on collaborations with other players that promote sustainable investing, on the launch and management of financial instruments and in sales.
