InFiNe member and European Microfinance Award co-organizer e-MFP is seeking an expert Advisor to support the initial development and application evaluation of the 2026 edition.
This new edition will focus on “Financial Inclusion for Youth,” examining how financial service providers and ecosystem actors can design and deliver products and services that support young people, primarily aged 18-35, on their pathway to financial autonomy, entrepreneurship, and economic participation. The Award will also consider complementary interventions for ages 15-18 when clearly linked to future financial inclusion outcomes.
The advisor should demonstrate strong expertise in youth finance to support the team in designing and developing the 2026 Award. The selected expert will contribute to two key phases of work: first, producing a comprehensive briefing document that maps youth financial inclusion challenges, solutions, and actors while incorporating youth life-cycle needs such as employment transitions, entrepreneurship, migration, and education. This foundational work will inform the refinement of the Award’s scope, definitions, and evaluation framework.
In the second phase, the Advisor will play a central role in the application review process, assessing submissions across multiple rounds, conducting financial performance analysis, and participating in evaluation meetings and Selection Committee sessions that will determine the semi-finalists, finalists, and ultimately the 2026 Award winner.
The ideal candidate brings at least 10 years’ experience in financial inclusion, particularly with financial service providers in low-income and emerging markets, combined with demonstrated expertise in youth finance including youth entrepreneurship and retail financial services.
