The Inclusive Finance Network Luxembourg (InFiNe) is pleased to announce two scholarship recipients from its second call for applications in 2025, supporting professionals from member organizations to deepen their expertise in areas critical to the evolution of inclusive and sustainable finance.
Christophe Bécue, Compliance Officer at Innpact Fund Management, will attend the Carbon Forestry Course at the University of Freiburg (February-March 2026). This three-week program addresses the growing intersection between impact finance and climate action, focusing on carbon capture through reforestation and afforestation projects.
As Innpact increasingly manages funds investing in forestry projects that generate certified carbon offsets while supporting local communities, the training responds to a clear operational need. The course covers international climate change policies, compliance and voluntary carbon markets, and carbon sequestration measurement; technical knowledge essential for properly assessing and managing risks in this emerging sector. The expertise gained will be directly applicable to Innpact’s work structuring and monitoring these complex impact investments.
Cécile Pochet, Senior Regional Officer at the Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation (GCA), will participate in the HBS-Accion Program on Strategic Leadership in Inclusive Finance at Harvard Business School (March 2026).
With responsibility for defining GCA’s strategy across South and Southeast Asia and coordinating a regional team, Pochet’s training comes as GCA refines its approach with increased focus on women’s empowerment and climate resilience. The program’s case study methodology (examining challenges from fintech innovations to digital financial services across emerging markets) will strengthen strategic decision-making and leadership capabilities directly relevant to supporting financial inclusion institutions in their transformation.
The InFiNe Scholarship Programme aims to stimulate financial inclusion as a tool for poverty alleviation and sustainable development by enabling member organization employees to strengthen their expertise through recognized executive training programs. Providing up to EUR 4,000 per recipient for tuition fees, the program supports Luxembourg’s positioning as a center of excellence in the sector.
The selected training programs for this second call, focusing on climate finance integration and strategic leadership for inclusive financial services, reflect areas where Luxembourg-based institutions are increasingly active and contributing innovative solutions.
Both recipients will share their learning with the InFiNe member organizations through written reports and presentations, after the completion of their courses, ensuring that insights gained benefit the broader Luxembourg inclusive finance ecosystem.
InFiNe is the Luxembourg platform that brings together public, private and civil society actors involved in inclusive finance. The value of InFiNe lies in the wide range of expertise characterised by the diversity of its members.
