Luxembourg’s Inclusive Finance Ecosystem Heads to GIIN Impact Forum 2025 in Berlin

The GIIN Impact Forum is the premier global gathering for impact investors, bringing together fund managers, institutional investors, development finance institutions, and ecosystem builders to advance impact investing practices, share innovations, and forge strategic partnerships. Once again, the Inclusive Finance Network Luxembourg (InFiNe) is proud to represent our diverse network of 44 members at this flagship event, showcasing the expertise and leadership of the Luxembourg inclusive finance ecosystem at Booth #18.

Luxembourg’s Impact Leadership on Display

Several InFiNe members will be actively participating throughout the forum, representing the full spectrum of Luxembourg’s impact investing capabilities: from legal structuring and fund management to gender-lens investing and support for emerging managers. We’re particularly proud that the Global Gender-Smart Fund (GGSF), Innpact, Accelerating Impact, CMS Luxembourg and Arendt are co-sponsoring this year’s forum alongside InFiNe, underlining Luxembourg’s commitment to advancing the global impact investing agenda.

Member Highlights and Activities

Luxembourg’s inclusive finance ecosystem will be well-represented throughout the three-day event, with members engaging in meaningful dialogues, showcasing innovations, and building strategic partnerships.

Before the conferences kick off, CMS Luxembourg and InFiNe are co-hosting an exclusive Pre-Conference Networking Event on Tuesday, October 7th from 7:00 PM onwards, together with CMS’ partner Lightsmith. This complimentary evening is designed to bring together GIIN Impact Forum participants for meaningful connections, great conversations, and a relaxed walking dinner experience. Attendance is by invitation only, if you’re attending the GIIN Forum and would like to join us, please reach out to secure your place for this intimate gathering before the main event.

Arendt brings over three decades of experience in the Luxembourg funds industry and more than a decade of specialized impact finance expertise through their dedicated Impact Finance Team, structured in 2011. As impact lawyers, it is in their DNA to allow clients to focus on their projects on the ground whilst they handle the complex legal and structural frameworks. At the forum, Arendt seeks to engage with impact-dedicated asset managers and other stakeholders who share their interest in sustainable finance, aiming to develop relationships that leverage Luxembourg’s robust regulatory framework and sophisticated financial ecosystem. Through their “One Arendt” strategy, they offer comprehensive support as strategic partners to selected impact projects, providing fully integrated services that combine legal expertise in fund formation and investment management with in-depth knowledge of the impact investing sphere.

Accelerating Impact returns to the GIIN Forum, viewing it as a key event both for their team and for the emerging fund managers supported through their ICFA and ISFA programmes. This participation offers an opportunity to engage with the global impact investing community, identify strategic partners, exchange best practices, and catalyse resources that accelerate collective impact. They are particularly interested in building connections with impact investors, fund managers, and mission-aligned organisations to foster GP-LP matchmaking, advance innovative solutions aligned with the SDGs, and collaborate on strategies that foster social impact and strengthen climate resilience and adaptation. ICFA Senior Programme Manager, Morgana Bourggraff, will facilitate a session during the forum on Thursday, October 9th. Additionally, on Friday, October 10th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Accelerating Impact is hosting an exclusive Impact GP-LP Speed Dating Brunch following the forum, bringing together LPs with fund managers from their ICFA 2025 and 2024 cohorts, and alumni from previous cohorts.

For Innpact, the GIIN Impact Forum is one of the most important events of the year: an intense moment of sharing common values and doing business with long-time and new partners of the impact industry. They aim to discuss with partners how to accelerate the launch of new impact investment strategies through their dedicated impact fund management platform. The forum also presents a unique opportunity for Innpact to share new developments and innovative solutions for the impact industry, including their groundbreaking liquidity guarantee facility for impact funds “Octobre”, which they have launched in cooperation with Sylvain Goupille and Cardano Development.

The Global Gender-Smart Fund (GGSF), co-sponsor of this year’s forum, represents a powerful example of Luxembourg’s impact leadership. As the world’s largest investment vehicle dedicated to advancing gender equality through financial inclusion, GGSF is keen to share their experience with attendees and meet other like-minded impact investors. With a 15-year track record, extensive global outreach, solid blended finance structure, partnerships with industry leaders, and global coordination of an ambitious and measurable gender strategy, GGSF is looking to connect with potential investors and other impact actors involved in gender and financial inclusion areas, or those looking to develop their own gender strategy. GGSF is co-hosting a side event with 2X Global on the evening of Wednesday, October 8th (follow their LinkedIn page for details). Their innovative blended structure has been selected to be showcased at the 2025 Blended Finance Innovations & Practices Gallery Exhibition taking place on Thursday, October 9th from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, where Fund Manager Etienne de Belloy (Associate Director at Innpact) will be present to answer questions.
