EIB Hosts 2025 Board Seminar with Civil Society in Luxembourg

The European Investment Bank (EIB) will host its annual Board Seminar with Civil Society on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, from 9:30 to 17:30 at EIB headquarters in Luxembourg. This flagship event serves as a forum for direct dialogue between civil society organizations, the EIB Board of Directors, and senior EIB management.

The seminar provides representatives from NGOs, think tanks, research institutes, trade unions, and other civil society actors with the opportunity to exchange views with the Bank’s leadership and contribute to shaping EIB’s strategic direction.

This year’s theme: “Beyond borders: The EIB’s role in a changing world”

Key discussion topics include:

  • Building Resilient Partnerships: Development, geostrategic engagement, and dialogue
  • Strategic Autonomy through Strategic Investment: Partnerships for a secure Europe

The program features an open exchange session between civil society participants and EIB Board members, designed to facilitate interactive dialogue on the Bank’s role and responsibilities in the current global context.

The event represents the EIB’s commitment to maintaining transparent communication with civil society stakeholders and incorporating diverse perspectives into its institutional decision-making processes. As one of the world’s largest multilateral lenders, the EIB regularly engages with civil society to ensure its operations align with broader social and environmental objectives.
