7 April 2022, Luxembourg
The visit to Luxembourg of CGAP’s new CEO was a privileged opportunity for the Luxembourg inclusive finance ecosystem to get to know Sophie Sirtaine better, but also to share and exchange on the visions, potential synergies and challenges of the sector.
The meeting organised by InFiNe.lu allowed InFiNe.lu members and other stakeholders of the sector to discuss and engage on the following topics, among others: the importance of savings in the context of the health crisis, the difficulty of understanding the service provided by fintechs (and the need for a framework), the constant pressure from donors to measure impact without taking into account the capacity of small structures to deliver, the social bonds which have surprisingly (but positively) become more popular following the health crisis, the impact of financial inclusion and social and environmental aspects, etc.
The meeting allowed all participants to benefit from the ideas and questions shared by all.
InFiNe is the Luxembourg platform that brings together public, private and civil society actors involved in inclusive finance. The value of InFiNe lies in the wide range of expertise characterised by the diversity of its members.
