e-MFP, InFiNe.lu member, has published the fourth edition of the Financial Inclusion Compass. The publication examines trends, new areas of development and challenges in the inclusive finance sector. The publication is based on a survey launched in May 2021 among inclusive finance practitioners, donors, investors and researchers. The survey gathered the point of views of 125 respondents from 39 countries.
The Financial Inclusion Compass 2021 shows that the inclusive finance sector has undergone pressures and changes since 2020 and the COVID-19 crisis. The challenges are huge and the crisis is not over. The most current trends mentioned by the respondents are client resilience and women’s empowerment. SME Financing is also considered as an important area of focus.
