New EIB technical assistance programme to strengthen banking best practice in East Africa

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has launched a new EUR 5 million technical assistance programme to improve bank management and diffuse viable banking practices amongst partner institutions in East Africa.

The partner institutions are the East African Development Bank, commercial banks and microfinance institutions. They are benefiting from credit lines extended by EIB across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda targeting SMEs and micro-enterprises.
